The Visegrád Mountains between Esztergom and Pilismarót descends steeply towards the Danube, from the Hideglelős Cross and Sas Hill there is a unique panorama of the river. The picturesque Búbánat Valley, studded with idyllic fishing lakes, is located between the Marót Mountains and the Donkey Mountain.
For fishing enthusiasts, 4 lakes have been created on site. Búbánat Valley offers excellent opportunities for those who want to recharge, as well as for those who like active relaxation.
In 2021, the Round Lake Nature House was opened on the shore of the lake, which functions as a multifunctional community space. The 640-square-meter, barrier-free building was completed for the 60th anniversary of the Iron Fishing Association in a consortium with the Hungarian Hiking Association, Pilis Parl Forest Ltd and the Hungarian Tourist Agency. The nature house also has a cafeteria, training rooms, and spaces suitable for holding events.
Starting from the modest little source of the Cold Spring, a steep slope leads up to the left to the small outcrop offering a magnificent panorama, on which the Hideglelős cross is standing. From the rocks in front of the beautiful cross, in down, the huge stream of Danube flows, with sandbar-like islands, the largest of which is Helembai Island. On the other side, the mountains of Slovakia can be seen to the right. Due to the natural similarity of the outcrop offering an amazing view, it is also known as the “Hungarian Lorelei” in the local vernacular.
