You can discover the ecclesiastical treasures of Esztergom and Budapest with the exhibition guide application

The Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest created an application in four languages
which is called “ChurchApp Esztergom-Budapest”.

With the mobile tour guide application, you can visit the featured churches
independently, but still with a guided tour, and discover the architectural features of
the Esztergom Basilica, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Matthias Church, Budapest-Belvárosi
Blessed Virgin Mary Main Parish Church and St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church,
historical aspects, special works of art and hidden curiosities.

In the Christian Museum, you can get to know our country’s richest church collection
and outstanding pieces of Hungarian and international art history with an interactive
guide. In the unique exhibition of the Bibliotheca, one of Hungary’s oldest and richest
church libraries, you can also get detailed information about the world’s heaviest,
richly decorated liturgical decorative codex, the Bakócz Gradualé and one of our
most important Hungarian language monuments, the Jordánszky Codex. Moreover,
the application also recommends restaurants and other program options around the
attractions.

The application, which can be used in both list view and map view, also provides the
opportunity to listen to audio materials and scan posted QR codes. The application is
currently available in six languages – Hungarian, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Slovakian.
The application is constantly being expanded with additional outstanding church and
cultural treasures, audio materials, and foreign language versions.

ChurchApp is free to download from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
